Aprenda a usar o tempo passado em inglês em frases afirmativas (verbos irregulares)

1. Introdução às Formas Verbais

No inglês, para expressar ações no passado (Past Simple), os verbos são divididos em duas categorias principais: Regulares e Irregulares.

Verbos Regulares: Seguem um padrão previsível. Adiciona-se o sufixo -ed à forma base do verbo.

Exemplo: walk → walked | play → played.

Verbos Irregulares: Não seguem uma regra fixa. Suas formas mudam de maneira única ou permanecem as mesmas, exigindo memorização individual.

A tabela abaixo apresenta a conjugação no presente e no passado de oito verbos essenciais.

Nota de Pronúncia: A forma do passado de Read é escrita exatamente como no presente, mas a pronúncia muda: no presente soa como "riid" e no passado soa como a cor vermelha (red).

Passado: I ate an apple this morning.

Go / Went

Presente: She goes to school by bus.

Passado: She went to school yesterday.

Read / Read

Presente: You read the book in the garden.

Presente: I tell my name to the teacher.

Passado: I told my name to the teacher.

Sit / Sat

Presente: He sits on the chair.

Passado: He sat on the chair.

Ride / Rode

Presente: They ride a bicycle to the park.

Get / Got

Presente: I get a new pen for class.

Passado: I got a new pen yesterday.

Ring / Rang

Presente: The bell rings at ten o'clock.

Passado: The bell rang five minutes ago.
